Once the kids are back in school, their minds will need a mental break. Why not explore practicing Yoga with your kids? Yoga is a great way to unwind at the end of the day, for some it is the best time of day to practice. I have been exploring yoga where I live for about three months. I have found multiple studios, home practices, indoor/outdoor classes and even aroma therapy yoga! Until a few weeks ago I never thought about doing yoga with my kids!
The great thing about yoga is that kids can practice alone, with a parent or a friend and many studios are holding classes specifically for kids!
Yoga for Kids – Yoga is fun, easy and safe for kids!
- Yoga teaches us to be in tune with our body.
- teaches us about taking care of our body
- teaches us about breathing.
- teaches us how to be in control of our body.
- teaches us how to quiet our mind.
- teaches us about balance.

No matter which pose you introduce first, you are sure to capture their attention! The objective is to have fun, learn together and introduce your child to something new. Yoga may capture there interest or it may not. However, in my experience, whatever I was doing my little ones wanted to do too! Why not introduce them to something that is beneficial and fun! On top of all this goodness, you get to spend some awesome time with your kids!
